Bike riding is awesome for a lot of reasons. It's healthy. It gives you a chance to get some fresh air and see the world around you. You can burn calories, go fast, or cruise at a more measured pace. Whatever type of bike riding you like best, it's all possible on an electric bike…...and all much more fun!

Now that you’ve ordered your Boogie Bike Cruiser and are eagerly awaiting its arrival, we’re sure you’re excited to take it out for a spin and start new adventures. There are plenty of things you can do to make the wait a bit more interesting while also making sure that your bike arrives in tip top condition and ready to ride. Here are 5 things you can do before your ebike arrives to help you prepare.

3 Things You Can Do While Waiting for Your Ebike to Arrive

1. Make sure you have the essentials

The worst thing that can happen to you when you're about to ride your new bike for the first time is realizing that you're missing a key piece of equipment.

Look for a helmet that has been approved by the Consumer Product Safety Commission. You should also get a high-quality bike lock like our Fingerprint Activated U-Lock.

Your Boogie Bike comes with a 6mm wrench for tightening and securing the handlebars, but you should also pick up a basic bike tool set for any maintenance requirements that may emerge down the road.

Check out our store if you want to learn more about accessories that you may need.

2. Get acquainted with our online resources.

Since you’re already here, take a look around our blog. We have a lot of useful information about ebikes such as proper ebike care and maintenance, best places to ride your ebike (we have many listed by state!), how to find bike trails, and more!

We also have a YouTube channel with tips on how to take care of your Boogie Bike. If you have any suggestions, leave a comment below or send us a message.

3. Get ready for your new bike life!

You're going to be spending a lot of time on your ebike once it arrives, so you may as well start preparing for it now. Read up on the basic ebike road rules and etiquette before you go for a ride.

You may even start planning a route from your house to your target destinations. This will give you a good sense of the area and will aid you in navigating anything unexpected you may encounter on your trip.

I love my Boogie Cruiser. I got it in early June, and I’ve been riding it about every other day - 8 to 16 miles each trip. We live near mountainous terrain, so it’s either uphill or downhill; not much level ground.

It's that time of year when the leaves change color, the scarves and layers come out, friends and family prepare warm, comforting meals for one another, and everyone dresses up for Halloween. Although it is a beautiful season, many cyclists do not take advantage of the benefits of autumn riding to their full potential. People tend to be less active when there is less sunlight and when their school and work schedules are hectic. It goes a long way toward explaining why, as a group, people are at their leanest at the beginning of October and then tend to gain weight over the next few months. So, to get you encouraged to do more cycling in the fall, here are ten reasons why cycling during the fall is awesome.
