1. Make sure you have the essentialsThe worst thing that can happen to you when you're about to ride your new bike for the first time is realizing that you're missing a key piece of equipment.
Look for a helmet that has been approved by the Consumer Product Safety Commission. You should also get a high-quality bike lock like our Fingerprint Activated U-Lock.
Your Cruiser Bike comes with a 6mm wrench for tightening and securing the handlebars, but you should also pick up a basic bike tool set for any maintenance requirements that may emerge down the road.
